Equity Accounting Group was founded by Leslie “Buddy” Stringer in 1997. What began as a small operation in Eastern North Carolina grew steadily through word-of-mouth and personal referrals. Today, Buddy continues to serve clients in both North Carolina and Florida from home base in Palm Coast.

Before launching his own firm, Buddy earned his accounting degree from Davidson County Community College and spent years in management with Hardee’s Food Systems — a North Carolina institution with deep roots in the region. It was during that time he developed a sharp understanding of what business owners need to thrive. That same practical experience, combined with a passion for numbers, still drives his work today.

Buddy’s approach is simple: Provide clear, trustworthy accounting support so clients can make sound financial decisions, and feel good about them.
